I have to admit, I do have a few responsible things on there, but nothing too bad. For example, a new camera is responsible, but also fun. I could really use a new camera. A new purse would come in handy, as well. Basically, I had to think of things that are both practical and fun to shop for.

When making your Christmas list for those around you, one thing to keep in mind is that you probably won’t get everything you ask for. Even if your list is short, it is very likely that you will get things that are not on it, and not get things that you listed. Because of this, it’s best to not get too attached to the idea of anything on that list. Also, keep in mind the budgets of those around you. It’s not fair to ask for something that costs thousands of dollars if you know that your friends and family can only afford twenty dollars.

But then again, I am also saving up for a gift to myself this Christmas. I think I have sacrificed enough for this family. I am not saying that I am stopping the sacrifice, it is just that I think that I also need to make myself feel special from time to time. And I think that this Christmas is just the right time. I am saving up because I am planning to buy a gift for myself.

I am thinking of gold — but would I buy gold for myself? Like a piece of gold jewelry. That would be a remembrance for myself that this year had been a trying year but we survived. I think that would be a great reminder. What would it be then? A pair of gold earrings? Or a bracelet? Well that remains to be seen, depending on how much I have saved up come Christmas time.

I mean chemically, they are the same as gold jewelry (or perhaps gold in a more pure state because I believe it is 24 karat) but having a bullion means that you have an asset. Accessories are fine but bullion represents wealth.

So that means if I have some gold bullion stashed away in some bank safe, then my status would be somewhere as a millionaire. Wow! That word has a nice timber to it—millionaire. Yeah, who would not want to be a millionaire? I want to, if that would mean the end to my money problems.

But well, for now, I just work and work for my family’s subsistence.
