Discovering Our Kids Potential

As parents, it would be wise to observe our kids on what their talents are. For one, they could have hidden potentials and they would remain to be undiscovered until they are exposed to it. Like one could actually have a potential to play a sport but they have to have an experience about it, and then could harness their gifts through time.

Same is true with music. If you discover that your child is keen on playing a musical instrument, make sure that he or she would have the proper training or exposure to it. Then she could explore on what kind of instrument he or she would like to learn. For country singer wannabes, Taylor guitars would be perfect gifts for the holidays!

Me and My Travels

I love to travel around. With the so many friends I have online, “eyeballs” are always exciting. I have met up with fellow bloggers in another city last month, and now I am looking forward to meet another batch of bloggers in our city sometime this month. Did I mention that I am also planning for a trip to another city to meet another set of blogger friends? LOL.

With my travel plans, I wish I have a backpack so I don’t have to carry a huge suitcase with my clothes on it. I mean for these overnight trips, a jansport backpack would do. Would this be my Christmas present for myself? Or would someone please give one to me?

Showing How You Love Someone

While we know that materialism cannot equate true love that dies to one’s self, you will also question the motives of someone who claims to love you but not give you gifts.

When you love someone, you also love showering him with gifts, right? Even if the boyfriend gift is not really that expensive, but the thoughtfulness behind it is what counts.

You think about what he likes and what he wants. You should also weigh what he really needs. That is what thoughtfulness means in a relationship. And this is reflected in your choice of gifts for him. Think about that this Christmas.

For People Who Have Everything

There are people amongst us who seem to have everything. They have the nicest houses, the best cars, and the most beautiful and stylish clothes that you sometimes wonder if there is something that they still want or don’t have.

And the question then would be what to get them for Christmas because you are actually friends? Maybe the best gift, aside from your friendship, of course, is a selection taken from gourmet gifts.

These will be appreciated because for sure your friend has impeccable taste and will like these things. And well, these are safe items, too, like cheeses and wine. They do not rot fast so your friend can still store them for future use.

Green Flame

Just this afternoon, my son ran to his father and talked about a green flame. Then later, he ran up to me and told me about this. He said that his father burned my mud mask pack and it caused a green flame. After telling me the reason, I was like… WHY?? He said I don’t know why (referring to the green flame). I said why did he burn my mud mask pack? Then he laughed at me and said… go ask father and he giggled.

I don’t know if he was awed by the green flame or he giggled with the thought that his dad was in trouble. LOL!!

Wearing What You Feel

To some, they said what you wear is what you express. Wear dark and you’ll look bad, wear white and you’ll look angelic. For me, none of it matters. I wear what I feel and sometimes I wear to share what I feel. So every time I wear plain white shirts, it means I am a virgin (nyahaha… in my dreams). When I wear funny shirts, it means I am happy and I want to have a happy ambiance where people around me smiles. And when I wear plain black, doesn’t mean that I’m bad or I want to die, it simply means that I haven’t taken a bath for few days already. LOL!!

Portable Speakers

When my daughter is not in the mood to use her laptop, she borrows my PC to access the internet. And guess what?! Most of the time when she is online she spends it either playing on Facebook or listening to music at YouTube.

Since I believe that it is such a waste of digital resources, I thought that she might need portable speakers on her next birthday. Why? Because if she just wants to listen to music, I think using her mobile phone or MP3 player with her new portable speakers (in the future) would be the best thing to do. She uses lesser electricity and I would be more productive with no disturbance at all!

Gifts for New Couples

One of my friends got married a few months ago. Unfortunately, I wasn’t here. Therefore, I was not able to attend her wedding. Now that I am here, I am thinking of giving them something. I have been browsing for ideas on what will be the ideal gifts for new couples.

Happy Hour with Friends

Sometimes when I go out to buy food or groceries later in the afternoon, I would pass by stores or eateries that serve alcoholic drinks. I would see men who are obviously employees because they are still wearing their office uniforms drinking with their buddies and sharing some pork or chicken barbecues for their happy hour. And they do this every day.

I believe that a big chunk of their salaries go to paying for their daily consumption of alcohol. That is why they would need cash advances before their payday if ever their wife asks them to buy something or their child needs some things for the school. But if they saved their money, they would not have to do that. For married people, happy hours should be those spent with family.

Getting a Degree

Getting an education, especially in a reputable college or university, can cost so much money! That is probably the biggest investment that parents make on their children. While it may be the parents’ responsibility to provide for their children’s education, we have to admit that it can get really expensive.

Thankfully, with the advent of technology, there are now alternative ways to earn a degree without spending so much. And that is taking online degree programs. These programs provide materials, training, as well as certificates of completion so that the student who has finished these courses can use their certificates to land jobs.

While this is a good thing, not all countries however recognize online certificates and trainings for employment. But maybe in a few years’ time, this innovation in education will become accepted all over the world so that more people can get good jobs after their online trainings.
