Buying an air conditioning unit can be considered as a luxury for some people but for us, it is quite necessary. My children are both asthmatic that is why we are doing all necessary things to prevent them from having an attack. My husband and I decided that we needed an air conditioning unit when we saw our children sweat every night as we sleep. Sometimes we couldn’t sleep straight also because we try to check their backs every now and then. We wipe their sweats as to prevent them from having wet backs that leads to cough then later to an asthma attack.
Buying an air conditioning unit was a wiser and efficient choice for us because we only need to worry about our electricity bill which reaches around $45 monthly; whereas if my children have an attack, the hospital bills and medicines costs more than the electricity bill. Besides, paying a bigger electricity bill is worth a sacrifice than seeing our children suffer from their health weaknesses.
Anyway, having an air conditioning unit doesn’t mean a family is living in luxury but sometimes they are forced to have one just to prevent more expenses and even maintain a healthy life for those they love.
